presentation of Jisuk

Jisuk Cho was born in Seoul, South Korea and is currently living in Tokyo, Japan. Somewhere in the middle of all that, Jisuk went to the School of Visual Arts in NYC and managed to pry a BFA in Animation out of the chairman's trembling, reluctant hands.

overnothingness :
All flattery aside, I find it incredibly amusing that you reblogged that thing about being insecure about your writing. Why? Because you were my inspiration for ever starting to write. I found Fishbones quite a few years ago and read it from end to beginning as fast as I could, which was difficult because English isn't my first language and I wasn't exactly good back in the day. Both your writing and art have inspired me in SO many ways all through the years. Thanks for being awesome, Jisuk.

Reponse:

Oh man, gosh, I don’t know what to say! Just… thanks so much! I’m really honored to hear that my writing has motivated you. And yes, I am insecure about it because I don’t have any formal training in writing like I do with art. I don’t get as much feedback on my writing as I do with my art, either. And, also, my writing is really personal and special to me? So I worry about it all the time. Anyway, thanks again. You’re way too kind to me!

Huh. Karasu is almost the length of a NaNoWriMo novel. Not sure if I should have one big book or two small ones, then.

RT @mefloraine: @jisuk It will be interesting to see how many people continue reading Karasu now that they have to load a /whole other page/.
