I remember reading your novel about 5 years ago, and stumbled across it on my computer. 3 hrs later Im here after searching the fishbones tag (which has way to many photos of plaits) to say it is awesome and fabulous and ask if the bonus chapters are still available for reading...I really need them!!! :) xx

Reponse:

Hey there! I’m glad that you still enjoyed the book even after all this time. :) I haven’t done much with the sequel and I’m not even sure if I’ll use the few chapters I wrote, but they’re still up on the long-neglected LJ community.

I saw the photos of your apartment and I'm wondering now - do office chairs (with wheels) wear down tatami floors? I don't know much about Japanese housing and furniture, but I'm really interested in it, ehehe...

Reponse:

I was wondering the same thing when I first moved in! So far the tatami seems to be holding up — it’s a lot tougher than I originally thought. It’s possible that with more time it might wear down, though. Anyone else have experience with tatami floors?

It was an ad for contact lenses. He was targeting glasses people. I felt so used.

Once a guy folded up a flier to look like free tissues and I accepted it LIKE A SUCKER. Never again, dude! NEVER AGAIN.

Every time I exit the train station where I work, I play a game. If someone manages to hand me a flier, I lose a life.
