Bata Neart - The Final Heartbeat

Pg29

This is an unusually quiet page, with no word ballons at all. I had considered Ashling screaming out, but something told me that the silence of the scene would help depict it’s horror.

Mid-week and time for more pencil work!
The image here gives you a glimpse of the very first moments of a Back Office page being created.

In this panel, I've drawn Karen first and then moved onto drawing Mike. The reason for this, is that Karen is the focus of this panel with the only speech in it. Once the focus character is draw, I will usually build the scene around him/her.

Room Temperature Beer

Pg13

I don’t know if this is a constant in other office cultures, but where I’m from, an office ‘open bar’ would made made of two items: Pilsner Beer, and Wine.

After over 3 years of using the same image, I'm finally retiring the 'Crazy Recruitment Man' from the Back Office title banner (for now).

In future, the banner will reflect the current Back Office story. The one up now is for the 'Office Party' arc. When that is finished, it will change again!

Ah shipping, the wonderful tradition of pulling character relationships out of nowhere. Is such a thing happening between Mike and Karen? Well, you’ll have to read further to find out (because I’m a jerk that way )
