This week's tone work is another Bata Neart page.
Right now I'm playing with a gradient tone in Ashling's hair. I've noticed this trick used in scenes where the character is in focus. I kinda like how this turned out. I may do it again in future pages :D

You know, when it comes to the drawings I do, and the 'art' I make, I'm usually very self critical. Normally, most of what I make has something wrong with it and I'm rarely happy with the results. But sometimes...a page will jump out at me and take me by surprise. Last week's Bata Neart was one of those pages. The final panel on this page not only turned out like I hoped, but it also captured the whole feeling of the scene in a way that I could never do on purpose. For once, I'm actually pleased with this page :D I hope to see more like this.
