Oh, it's a shame I won't meet him.

A character that makes people sleep by dropping sand in the eyes (I wonder if it stings).

Interesting: originally, he was not always a benevolent character. Some versions say that children will have nightmares if they refuse to sleep. Others speak of a creature that puts children to sleep to devour afterwards.
