The NC’s review of Sailor Moon was just a mess.

I wasn’t expecting him to like it (he hates Power Rangers, which SM is the female version of…) but I was shocked by how much he missed the point and did not do the research.

He probably should’ve been helped by either Linkara (who likes SM) or JesuOtaku, because apart from the ‘transformations are too long’ issues and how America isn’t accepting of the lesbian sailor senshis, he basically missed the point so damn much even the acknowledgment of the senshis being drawn way too creepily adult for their age couldn’t help.

There was potential for a lot of jokes (like how Sailor Moon’s uniform got frillier and frillier to a ridiculous extent (the freaking wings!) or the hilarious attack names, for one (Star Gentle Uterus! Yes, that IS an actual attack name.)), but he went right for the offensive, even implying that women shouldn’t like Star Wars, which made me cringe.

The ‘penis’ gag was also really cringe comedy without the comedy and creepy.

Let’s hope it’s just a blunder, because he was pretty funny up til now.
