Pre!Conception Headcanon: Out of the trio, Isamu is actually the one who’s keeping a smile most of the time while the other two are a lot more grim-natured. Chiaki because she’s high and mighty, Naoki because he’s the unintentionally aloof type with the srs face. Despite the fact that Isamu feels the most unhappy on the inside and knows his exhausting vain behaviour annoys his two friends every so often, he keeps joking around to keep the groups and - most importantly - his own mood up. He doesn’t admit it, but he’s secretly scared to be left alone once his two only buddies would find out about his true, depressing feelings, so he never talks about them and continues being the dork of the group.
