If you had told me years ago that this was the type of relationship that my son and I would eventually share, I’d have probably punched you in the face for suggesting that I could perform such despicable acts on my own flesh and blood. But here we are. After my son came out of the closet to me he eventually told me that he’d always been attracted to his old man. Of course, I just laughed it off, not taking it seriously at first. But the boy persisted. Finally something clicked. We found ourselves embracing and we made that unthinkable step that fathers and sons are not supposed to make. My wife always tells her sisters and friends how proud she is of my close relationship with my son. If she only knew!
