the rookie's personal data, as translated by the Space Marines.

were recruited by the Earth Space Force . . . How touching . . ."
"That's right, Sir." Maxim tried to hide the irony in his voice "One third of our unit consisted
of colonists. We trained alongside the Terrans, though our training seemed a bit . . . stricter."
"Now I see why central command decided to relieve you of your duties. The slaughter that
you wreaked on those insurgents of Urkon . . . I don't remember anything like it . . ." the
commander flashed a crooked smile, without lifting his gaze from the documents "But I'm
glad they finally sent us a real cutthroat. I can use a man like you. Indeed, I need one even!
It says here that you are also a champion at close quarter combat and martial arts . . ."
"Yes, sir. But my expertise is battle-armored exosuit combat."
"Very well then. It's best we promptly put your abilities to the test. Since all our
agents are occupied elsewhere I will have to dispatch you on a one-man mission . . .
Jeniel Colony, the first landing there took place two years ago"
