presentation of Jisuk

Jisuk Cho was born in Seoul, South Korea and is currently living in Tokyo, Japan. Somewhere in the middle of all that, Jisuk went to the School of Visual Arts in NYC and managed to pry a BFA in Animation out of the chairman's trembling, reluctant hands.

Fact #2: Birds have a body temperature 7-8 degrees higher than humans. Also, they can’t sweat.

Fact #3: Birds have 5 bones in their tongues.

(Sorry, this sketch was meant to be cute but he came out looking kind of like a scumbag.)

chireidenraven :
Your tengu is a raven, and not a crow?

Reponse:

That’s a good question. After doing more research, I figured out that the birds I see all over Tokyo are crows (Jungle crows to be exact) but I’ve also found that ravens do exist in Japan, just in the colder northern areas like Hokkaido. Shichi was originally inspired by images and information concerning ravens (for example, he has a tuft on his beak that ravens have, not crows) so I will continue to draw influence from ravens, despite the fact that they aren’t as common as crows here in Japan.

I bought this guy at Tokyu Hands. He keeps my ramen lids down and when it’s ready his arms turn white.
