I have never hidden that I was gay but if they mention the word ‘gay’ in conversation just say say it then, they won’t believe you at first but don’t make a big thing out of it, and prepare yourself for the usual questions. I found the trick is to not be ashamed or embarrassed about otherwise they will too, you know who you are and be proud of it. And if they make you feel bad or ashamed that you are then ditch them, trust me it’s way better in the long run.
