Esta película resulta ser bastante débil en comparacióna las anteriores, pues no estaba planificada para ser una película de Godzilla, sino de King Kong, que aún tenían los derechos del personaje.
Al cambiarlo por Godzilla solo por marketing, la película fue bastante desastrosa, en el sentido en el que casi nada tenía sentido.
Ebirah fue un rival bueno para Godzilla, igualmente, incluso si solo es una langosta gigante.
