Not good enough

I really missed my favorite little guy so I sketched around a bit yesterday

Isamu with a black eye is something I didn’t know I wanted

maybe he brought home a bad grade. or it was the nail polish. Or anything really because nothing he does is ever right. Basically my headcanon is that his family wants him to be someone he's not, a courageous, successful young man with a place in society. they even named him isamu which means 'courage' I just ;_; and the Musubi ending always hinted at this anyway, when he says he's sick and tired of fullfilling expectations and having his life being dictated by others and djd needing to live how everybody else wants him to live.
yeah I just bet his family is not proud of the effeminate loser they raised but he can never even do anything to live up to their expectations because he's just not like that. And then all his insecurities kick in and he hates people and at the same time wants to finally be told that he's fine that it's okay to be himself and kdjkd just...be loved. BUT THEN IT'S JUST TOO HARD FOR HIM TO OPEN UP/TRUST SOMEONE PROPERLY AND he turns out to be the douche he is.
(wouldn't be surprised if he has body issues too, he spends so much time worrying over what to wear and fidgets with his clothing all the time) he's just a mess and an ass but actually just a depressed teenager so ye
