1) I use to do a rough sketch first that start thinking about the BG, concept and position. This step took me about 1-5 minutes.
2) I will start draw the face and set up the cloth on the rough sketch layer. This step took me about 5-10 minutes.
3) Complete the character line art, I start doing the rough sketch for all cats. (I am a cat lover)
4) I like to sketch without reference, so the bird shape took me quite a long time, but I sure I draw the bird before, I just need to make it as my own style, cat also.
5) Coloring step. I used to color the skin and face first. I love to color the eyes.
6) Hair coloring. Color the hair and design the hair accessories!
7) OMG, Love the hair accessories!
8) I had put a lot of the effort on the Kimono pattern….. (Edit by Photoshop and illustrator)
9-10) Just share the coloring step on the cat, my enjoy part.
11) Character coloring done.
12) Character, cat and bird coloring done.
13) Start painting the background.
14) Set up the entire color mood and complete the background painting.
DONE!
