Absolute Denial 2

Hello everyone!
Long time no see~

Well, instead of working on other things I should be working on (like job hunting... writing cover letters... ugghhhh don't wanna think about it) I spent the last week drawing this.  
The only thing I wanna do right now is work on my manga with these boys, Satoru and Kaoru!!!! I have the chapter 2 script all ready and gah... I just need to make time to thumbnail and eventually draw the whole thing. I really really really miss drawing manga...  Since I finished my doujin a while ago, I haven't drawn anything since!!!

I had a lot of fun with this illustration. Due to the lack of motivation to draw anything lately, I went back and looked through my artbooks and manga by my fav mangaka for inspiration. Since I'm quite a lazy laid-back artist, I wanted to draw a light simple pic and focus more on lineart than color. In my opinion, lineart is what makes or breaks a picture (in this style obviously) so there's lack of shading and such. It felt so good not to worry about coloring! However, it was difficult trying to control myself and avoid getting too dark or too detailed. *sighs* I think, as an artist, my strong point is lineart, so I figure I should make that shine from now on by using simple coloring and shading. What do you think??
