The original sketch in this case is on paper. I wasn't really happy with a lot of it (the pose, proportions, etc) and decided to just use this as a "base" idea.

Fixing up in Photoshop. Okay, so that looks a little better. Head is the right size, legs are more dynamic. But her weapons look kind of boring and probably wrong.

How the hell do you hold a sword... okay, time to do some research.

Okay I have an idea for a sweet sword angle but what does it even look like from the tip? Let's download a katana into Google SketchUp and find out!

Okay now we're kind of getting somewhere! Oh right, this 'set' has a flower theme. Time to pick a flower.

This thing looks cool as shit and its symbolism is totally sad hell yeah this is perfect.

Okay, drew some flowers in there. Adjusted some little things like her head and stuff.

Inked!

Put some colors on there and little final adjustments!

The thing is finish.
