I already told gobs this, but to make things clear, the aliens don't automatically know English. Each city has a language they speak. So Hayze normally speaks RubenDies's language. Same with Jin. Any human languages like Japanese, French, English, etc....they learned through The Eye. Siren knows English because she's from Edeon. This gets explained later. i didn't realize this would be so confusing for non-english speakers. English is a very outdated language. Only Edeon and some humans speak the language. The comic is just translated for everyone to understand it. It would be redundant for them to speak in their alien language and for me to have a translation. This scene just doesn't translate well in other languages, I think.
