It actually incorporates a lot of elements that I had planned for a fan-fiction story I intended to write, though it also includes some ideas I didn't think of. However, I also gotta say that I strongly disagree w/ Yamcha's stated power level in this chapter. Considering that 1) Yamcha had a stated power level of 365 at the time he fought Raditz, 2) Yamcha was stated by Roshi as being close in power to Raditz after he drank the water of the gods (meaning that his power should've been at least 3x that 365), and 3) both Yamcha & Roshi were seemingly shown training in the time chamber at one point while training under Kami, Yamcha and Roshi both should be at least double what this page says their power is. Even if Kami didn't have them use the time chamber during their training, I'd say that neither of them should be below 6,000. Having them at top-out at 4,000 is seriously low-balling. That's just my two cents. As some already explained he totally put up a fight against Goku when he focused and stopped playing around. Goku was still stronger, but ralized he was not going to one-shot him as he originally intended to. Once Vegeta told him to calm down, he did much better. But Vegeta lost patience with Nappa and told him to get out of the way. Nappa then decided to attack Gohan and Krillin. Goku, realizing he wouldn't catch up to Nappa in time, had to resort to the kaioken to overtake Nappa. Of course the power difference between them was so high at that point, that Goku broke Nappa's spine, paralyzing him. Which led to his death by Vegeta, who considered him useless. So yes, Nappa is weaker than Goku, but when calm he can put up a fight. And he's not so weak that Goku can just teleport past him, he had to use the kaioken.
