It kind of makes sense, since Videl is already one of the Multivese Tournament Fighters for Universe 9. Perhaps she and Trunks (Yamcha's son, not Vegeta's) will make up for Gohan (Goku's son) not being present in this universe. They will need the extra fighters in their ranks to make up for the lack of powerful allies, like the Saiyans or Piccolo. Also, isn't Mr. Satan supposed to be the same age as Krillin and Goku?
